Requirements for Au Pair
- You are aged between 18 and 30;
- Be able to afford travel expenses
- Not married or have children
- Have sufficient funds to support yourself during your stay in Japan (around 2000 Euros)
- Be able to show a return plane ticket
- Certain countries are excluded from the au pair program
- Health/travel insurance is needed for Japan
- Visa is required for Japan and needs to be done prior to arrival
- No Contract is compulsory for Japan, however We Hive recommends to use the official EU contract template to formalize daily tasks
Requirements for Family
- There are one or more children between 3 and under 18 living in your home
- The au pair must have her own room
- No maximum of daily hours is required for Japan. We Hive recommend to discuss it with the family during selection process
- No minimum wage is required for Japan. We Hive recommend to discuss it with the family during selection process
- Au Pair should be given enough free time to attend language course
- Allow for some extra spending like mobile phone, insurance, language course
- No contract is needed for Japan, however We Hive recommends to use the official EU contract template to formalize daily tasks
