Requirements for Au Pair
- You are aged between 18 and 30;
- Not be married or have children
- Knowledge of English or French
- Have sufficient funds during your stay (around 1700 Euros) and a return ticket
- Health/travel insurance is compulsory for au pair
- You have to apply for a Canadian “working holiday “ visa in your home country
- You have to apply for a work permit and go through a medical examination
- Make sure that you allow plenty of time during the application process
- Only au pairs from certain countries may apply, please check before applying
- No contract is needed for Canada, however We Hive strongly recommends to use the official EU contract template to formalize daily tasks
Requirements for Family
- There are one or more children between 3 and under 18 living in your home
- The au pair must have her own room
- You must speak English or French in your home
- Daily working hours should not exceed 25 & 30 hours per week
- Au pair is entitled to receive between €280 & €300 Euros per month
- Allow for some extra spending like mobile phone, insurance, language course
- No contract is needed for Canada, however We Hive strongly recommends to use the official EU contract template to formalize daily tasks
