Requirements for Au Pair

  • You are aged between 18 and 30;
  • Not married or have children
  • Have to participate in a language course
  • Health/travel insurance is recommended for au pair
  • Visa may be required for non-EU au pairs or extra conditions like sufficient funds to cover your stay
  • No specific au pair contract is available, however an employment domestic contract is needed and may differs from region to region

Requirements for Family

  • There are one or more children between 3 and under 18 living in your home
  • The au pair must have her own room
  • Au Pair needs to participate in a language course
  • You must have Swiss citizenship
  • Daily working hours should not exceed 30 hours per week
  • Au pair is entitled to receive between €530 & €860 Euros per month
  • Allow for some extra spending like mobile phone, insurance, language course
  • No specific au pair contract is available, however an employment domestic contract is needed and may differs from region to region
