Visa Regulations

Requirements for Au Pair

  • You are aged between 18 and 30;
  • You are temporarily going to stay with a family in France in order to study French (more than 3 months)
  • You must prove basic knowledge of the French language ( through secondary education or professional experience)
  • You are willing to attend a language course
  • Health/travel insurance is recommended for au pair
  • Visa may be required for non-EU au pairs
  • Contract is needed for France, you will find the template in our French contract section

Requirements for Family

  • There are one or more children between 3 and under 18 living in your home
  • The au pair must have her own room
  • Tasks should be highlighted in the Au Pair contract
  • Family should speak French
  • Au pair stay should be at least for 3 months.
  • Au pair should attend a language course.
  • Au Pair salary should range between 307,50 € and 369,00 €
  • Daily working hours should not exceed 5 hours
  • Allow for some extra spending like mobile phone, insurance, language course
